Between 2011 and 2012, the use of Botox among men increased 6 percent. And according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the total number of cosmetic surgeries men have been getting has increased over the past 12 years by 22 percent.

Men are doing it for vanity, but they're also doing it to stay competitive in the job marketplace. Unemployed older men spend nearly twice as long on the job market as their younger counterparts, and many men are getting the cosmetic procedures to appear younger and more virile on the job market.
