The Only Crowd-Pleasing Recipe You Need This Summer

Whip up this easy appetizer the next time you play host

Uh-oh. You committed to hosting a girls' night in, and to put it lightly, you're no Martha Stewart.

Don't panic. You don't need to have an arsenal of complicated recipes to win over your friends. You just need an easy, crowd-pleasing appetizer up your sleeve. That's where this mouthwatering pull-apart bread and Hidden Valley Cilantro Lime Ranch dip comes in. The whole thing requires only four ingredients and about 15 minutes of your time, making it perfect for those post-work get-togethers when you're crunched for time and your fridge is nearly empty.

Easiest-Ever Mini Mexican Cheese Pull Apart Breads

Serves 4

Ingredients:
4 hard mini bread rolls
2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
2 tablespoons taco seasoning
Hidden Valley Cilantro Lime Ranch Dressing (for dipping)

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and spray lightly with cooking oil. Use a serrated knife to cut a grid pattern in the top of each roll. Don't let the cuts go all the way through the bottom. Place the rolls on the foil.

Add the cheese and taco seasoning to a zipper storage bag and toss well to mix. Divide the cheese evenly among all the rolls, pressing it down between the squares on the top of the bread. Lightly sprinkle cheese on top.

Cover the rolls with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for five more minutes or until the top of the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted. Remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool slightly. Transfer it to a plate and serve with Hidden Valley Cilantro Lime Ranch Dressing for dipping. Rolls should tear apart easily.

Pro tip: To extend the illusion that you totally have it together, keep in mind that presentation matters. Rather than displaying your cheesy creations on a paper plate or sheet pan, serve them on a real plate with a ramekin or small, decorative bowl filled with Hidden Valley Cilantro Lime Ranch Dressing for dipping. Then, to really take it to the next level, garnish with some chopped cilantro. (Nobody will have a clue that you just rushed in the door 20 minutes ago.)
