You know that feeling you get when you forget your cell phone at home? Anxious, worried, a little lost. That's how I feel when I forget mascara.

So imagine my apprehension as I opened the new IT Cosmetics Tightline mascara. A super skinny wand that's supposed to take my natural lashes from plain to perfection? Yeah, as if.

But this wand is magical -- each lash gets coated from root to tip with just a couple swipes, enough for me to even skip mascara without having to do deep breathing exercises. And because the bristles are so ridiculously tiny, you do get a sultry "tightline" effect of eyeliner at the roots. So you get long, perfectly defined lashes that are full, yet neatly separated all in one product. Genius.

Here's how I did it:

1. Starting at the root of your lashes, hold the wand horizontally. Then, wiggle and sweep your lashes from root to tip. Add additional coats as desired.
2. For a more visible eyeliner effect, gently press the wand along the base of your lash line to fill in the gaps between your lashes. Repeat this step for both top and bottom lash lines to complete the look.
