"Ever find yourself in need of a #sparepair of underwear?" is the interrogative motto of UrbanUndercover, a fledgling panty company that's hoping its proprietary hidden pocket/portable pouch will help propel it from KickStarter status to your underwear drawer lickety split.
"If Hollywood ever gets around to inventing a female James Bond," notes BuzzFeed about the panties with a pocket, "This would be her underwear of choice."
Here's the deal; these super-cute Made in the U.S.A. undies roll up into themselves as demonstrated in the video below.
They come in three styles (thong, hipster, boyshort), five colors (for now), three sizes (S, M, L) and are designed so that they don't "bunch, pinch, ride up, create unwanted lines or look like they belong to Grandma."
What sets them apart from the pack -- aside from the practical pouch part which would really work wonders to organize an undie drawer -- is that the little pocket can also be used to "store" stuff. Things like a tampon (I'm thinking O.B. here because a full-size applicator type would be noticeable and uncomfy), phone, condom, mad money, gum and a lipstick would all fit nicely into the Lululemon-esque poche.
Like the idea? Like that they're manufactured in America and are a concept born of and brought to fruition by women? You can click on over to
Kickstarter to see how you can help take them to the next level. They're "Ready to grow expand (we have big dreams of adding additional colors and also a line for athletes and fuller figured women), but we can only do that with the help of the Kickstarter community."
