Scary Stitching
These stitched up nails have us channeling our inner Sally Skellington. To pull off this Halloween nail art, pick three of your favorite nail colors. We recommend starting with a seasonally appropriate orange polish, like Essie Nail Polish in Sexy Divide, Fear or Desire and Vices Versa. Then, use a black nail art brush to "stitch" each color together for a spooky-chic look.

Frankenstein Nails
Paying tribute to the most famous monster of all time isn't as tough to pull off as you might think. Since rocking an ugly look is Frankenstein's claim to fame, you definitely don't need a steady hand to draw his frazzled hair and frightful stitches. Try Essie Nail Polish in Shake your $$ Maker to get Frankenstein's green "glow."

Black Cat French Manicure
The timeless French manicure will always be in style, but this Halloween we're adding a fun twist to the classic look by adding black cat tips. Need this look on your hands right now? Apply a clear base coat (try Wet n Wild Shine Base Coat) before creating two triangle shapes on the side of the nail with a black polish. Next, create a half moon shape between those triangles and fill it in to create your furry friends. Once dry, paint two white dots for the eyes and later, using a nail art brush, paint a thin black line down the center of the eye.

Girl, those tips have never looked more purrrfect.

3-D Ghost Face Nails
This 3-D nail art will have people gawking at your nails all night long and wondering what you did to trap ghouls in your nail bed (that would make for one interesting ghost story). Use a white 3D UV gel polish to build your ghost face (try Nailite 3D UV Gel in White) and then add a topcoat to seal your design. If you can't get your hands on a 3D UV gel polish, nail blogger Piggie Luv shares tips for creating the unique look using white nail polish and foil gel. Check out the tutorial here.

Stunning Spider Webs
These are no itsy bitsy spider nails. To weave these chic webs, grab OPI Nail Lacquer in Black Onyx and Alpine Snow. Use a nail art brush to create the webs, making sure to keep a steady hand while painting the design -- otherwise your nails could come out a lot scarier than intended (and not in a good way). If your hands are a little on the shaky side, you can opt for these spider web nail decals .

There's no better time than Halloween to embrace the nail art trend. Unlike most holidays where you have to play it safe (you're not going to show up to Easter Mass with a 3D bunny on your thumb), Halloween is made for going all out. After all, the entire purpose of the holiday is to completely transform yourself -- right down to the spookiest Halloween nail designs.

Skip ahead to see the best Halloween nail art now.

Counting down the days until we get to play dress up, we've thought about every detail of our costume, and scoured Pinterest for killer Halloween nail designs (see what I did there?) we can wear all month. We even rounded up the best Halloween nail art we've seen this year. The best part? They're all easy nail designs you can pull off on your own. While manicure money is always well spent, we know you're saving your moola for that half-priced candy the day after Halloween.

BOO-yeah.
