Crime Scene
Forget covering up the evidence! You'll want the entire world to see your blood splattered, crime scene-themed nail art this Halloween. To steal the edgy look, use Ulta3 Nail Polish in Cherrylicious and Black Satin. Paint the two polishes on an applicator sponge, and gently dab the end of your fingertips with a sponge to get the semi-gradient look before finishing with a clear topcoat. You'll have everyone asking where you stashed the body.

Don't worry, your secret is safe with us.

Vampire Nails
Vamp up your traditional black Halloween nail this year with this bloody French tip. Start by using a black nail polish like Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer in Little Black Dress as a base. Once dry, use a glittery red polish such as Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer in Rare as Rubies to paint the tips of your nails. To get the dripping blood look, pour a bit of the red nail polish on a piece of paper and dip a bobby pin or dotting tool into it. Then starting at the tip of your nail, take your nail polish-covered tool and lightly tap your nail to create droplets. Once dry, finish with a topcoat.

Black Widow Web
Take it from Rita Ora and Iggy Azaela, being a black widow is one part sexy and two parts badass. If you're rocking your dark side this Halloween, this black widow-inspired nail design is exactly what you need.

To steal the look, try using China Glaze Nail Lacquer in Adventure Red-y to create a base coat. Once dry, create webs by crisscrossing nail tape over your nail in the desired pattern. Then, paint over the tape with China Glaze's Bump In The Night polish.

Add a fun accent nail by creating the shape of a spider's body with the nail tape and painting around the tape's edges with Bump In The Night. Finish with a topcoat.

Skull Nails
No need to lose your head -- these cute skull nails are easy to recreate and will be the envy of all fingertips come Halloween. Start with a white base coat, such as Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer in All White Now, and then paint a curved vertical line on both sides to make the shape of a skull with black polish (try China Glaze Nail Lacquer in Liquid Leather). Add a horizontal line and small vertical lines for the mouth, daintily paint two large dots for eye sockets and finish off the look with an upside down heart for the nose. Finally, seal your skull with a topcoat.

That adorable heart nose though.

There's no better time than Halloween to embrace the nail art trend. Unlike most holidays where you have to play it safe (you're not going to show up to Easter Mass with a 3D bunny on your thumb), Halloween is made for going all out. After all, the entire purpose of the holiday is to completely transform yourself -- right down to the spookiest Halloween nail designs.

Skip ahead to see the best Halloween nail art now.

Counting down the days until we get to play dress up, we've thought about every detail of our costume, and scoured Pinterest for killer Halloween nail designs (see what I did there?) we can wear all month. We even rounded up the best Halloween nail art we've seen this year. The best part? They're all easy nail designs you can pull off on your own. While manicure money is always well spent, we know you're saving your moola for that half-priced candy the day after Halloween.

BOO-yeah.
