When she's not busy running two beauty companies, Lauder likes to spend time in Aspen. "It is a great family vacation spot, and there's something for everyone," she says. "It's a very laid back town, and the beauty look is effortless."

After working for the Estée Lauder Companies for 20 years -- holding positions in various departments from product development to advertising -- she recently decided to strike out on her own. Lauder's new venture? Her own beauty brand, eponymously named Aerin.
