On days when having any hair on your neck feels unbearable, this style is the perfect go-to. Balance the simplicity of the style with look-at-me accessories like Zendaya's hoop earrings. To steal her look:
Step 1: Blow-dry hair with your head flipped over for added volume. Step 2: Mist your hair with a shine serum. Then pull your hair into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic. Step 3: Divide your ponytail into three sections. Wrap each section individually around the base of your elastic, tucking in ends and securing with bobby pins. Step 4: Pull out a few loose ends from your top knot to create an undone look.

Gold Medal Ponytail
This Olympic-inspired ponytail is a sassy (and unique) way to spice up that boring ponytail you've been sporting just about everywhere. While it looks like it took months of training (much like the athletes we're stealing it from), this style will take you under ten minutes. To get the look:
1. To start, separate your hair into three sections at the front of your head -- the middle section being a wide triangle at the front (like you're going to do the Snooki poof), and two at the sides above your ears (like you're about to do a faux-hawk). Secure all sections with clips.
2. Pull all the remaining hair into a sleek ponytail, and take a small section of hair from that ponytail to wrap around the elastic.
3. With the separated hair on each side of the head, divide those two sections into two more sections and create two hair twists, twisting into each other. Then cross over the two twists, pull back towards the ponytail and wrap around the ponytail. Repeat on the opposite side.
4. Take the remaining hair at the top of your head (the middle section), and gently tease strands to get some added volume and create a polished pompadour. Secure the look with hairspray (we love Pantene Pro-V Level 4 Hairspray). And there you have it. A hairstyle worthy of a gold medal.

Fishtail Bun
What's better than a braided updo that looks hella fly and keeps us cool in the 90-degree heat? Not much, but we'd take a cabana boy. To get the look:
1. Start with sleek straight hair, using a hair serum to smooth away flyaways (our go-to right now is Chi Tea Tree Oil Tea Tree Serum). Then, brush your hair back into a sleek, smooth high ponytail and secure with an elastic.
2. Next, take your ponytail, and begin to fishtail braid it until you reach the end of the ponytail. Secure with a small (clear) elastic.
3. Take your braid and wrap around itself, tucking the tail in through the bun (snake it through anywhere). Secure with bobby pins, and lock hair in place with hairspray.
This messy yet chic updo makes for a great date-night hairstyle and is incredibly easy to create. To rock the look:
1. Start by making a high half-pony at the top of your head (don't secure), separating your hair into two sections. Take one of the sections and begin to wrap around the other, until you get to the end of the strand.
2. Next, slide the twisted strand up the piece of hair, making a mini messy bun in the middle. Tuck the tail under the bun and secure with bobby pins.
3. Repeat steps one and two, two more times, grabbing hair from the sides of your head as you go down, rather than creating a half pony -- spritzing hairspray as you go.
4. Once you've created three messy buns, gently tug at each, fanning out the strands for a more playful look. Rawr.
This alluring summer hairstyle is one of the simplest to recreate, and it guarantees your neck freedom from sweltering heat. Steal the style:
1. Separate hair into three sections -- one at the top, one in the middle and one at the bottom. Put each of the sections into a ponytail, leaving a small amount of space between your scalp and the base of the loose pony. Make sure each of your ponytails are directly over each other.
2. Next, take your finger and create a small space at the base of your top ponytail and your head. Then take your ponytail and flip it up and over into the space, creating a topsy-turvy ponytail. Flip the ponytail up and over again, and snake the remaining cascading hair down into the space of the ponytail directly below.
3. Continue step two for the remainder of the ponytails. Grab some hairspray and debut your new 'do.
I'm crazy about summer, but my hair? Not so much. It stubbornly refuses to be anything besides a big, frizzy, hot mess. Plus, can we talk about the hair-to-heat ratio going on? Nobody needs a heavy mop of hair sitting on her neck in the sweltering heat. That's why low-maintenance summer hairstyles are an absolute necessity to keep our hair looking hot, and us feeling cool.
Here, our favorite summer hairstyles that'll get you through all your outdoor escapades (while looking adorable, might I add). Plus, they're quick, require no heat and will stay out of your sweaty (er, glowing) face -- no matter how high the mercury rises.
