Did you recently get a new short (perfect-for-spring) cut? Dig up whatever spray wax or pomade thats collecting dusk in the back of your drawer, and use it to create a runway-to-real-life, sleek evening look. Make a deep side part and use about two to three times the amount of product that you normally would use.

REPURPOSE: Powder and Bronzer
"Bronzer is the key item to recycle each year because you never seem to finish it," says Jennings. To perfectly warm up your skin tone, apply the basic face powder you've been wearing all winter (as a base) then top it with bronzer (blending very well) until you -- maybe -- become the actual color of the bronzer or at least get the faux glow you're after.

REPURPOSE: Dark Lip Color
You can keep wearing your much loved berry or red lipstick or gloss, but Chang-Babaian's trick is to "mix a hint of last season's dark lip glosses or lipsticks with clear or shimmery lip gloss to create just a tint of last fall's lips. Voila! All your fall colors become wearable for spring."

REPURPOSE: Tights
Yes, tights. Recycle some of your fave stockings from fall -- ones that got a hole in the toe or a lovely run down the front. If you have a bold, fun color -- even better. Tricomi recommends getting crafty and turning them into a cute headband -- genius, right? Here's two ways to make them:
One, cut a strip about three to four inches thick off the thigh area and youve got an intsa workout-friendly headband.
Two, cut off the foot and the crotch area of one leg and wrap it around your head (headband style). Secure the headband by tying it into a bow at the top of your head (place it off center) for a more fashion-forward look.

BUY: Pink and Purple Makeup
"What wont be necessary this season are the bright, overly-neon colors we saw last spring and summer, says Jennings. "The trend now is still quite bold with vibrant colors, but they have a more sophisticated, almost 'East Hampton', summer feeling," he says. He recommends pinks and purples. Try a purple lipstick or eyeshadow (Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Stiletto, $19), or if the idea of those freaks you out, try a purple mascara like Hard Candy Ginormous Mascara in Purple Haze, $6 for a subtle hint of color. An even less risky bet is to play up your cheeks with a pop of pink blush (try Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face, $30 in Petal), which Chang-Babaian loves.
'Tis the season for de-cluttering, so as you start to clear out closets and drawers, think about spring cleaning your beauty products too. (And while you're at it, take this quiz to see if your makeup bag is a mess -- it may be time to give your stash of goodies a total overhaul.) While some beauty products might have served you well in colder months, as the temperatures rise and trends shift, there are certainly items that you should repurpose -- and some hot, must-have beauty products you should buy.
