For Thanksgiving dinner with the family
When you're cooking for your family this Thanksgiving, you want to look put-together -- but not overdone. For a demure yet festive look, Babaian recommends doing a bold, bronze eye. "It looks sparkly and festive, but is still conservative enough for the family," she says. "It also reads really well in group photos, and the warm browns match the autumn backdrop perfectly."

Here's how to get the look:

Step 1: Apply beige foundation to your eyelid and under-eye.
Step 2: Apply light beige concealer to the inner corner of your eye.
Step 3: Set the foundation and concealer with loose golden shimmering powder.
Step 4: Apply bronze eyeshadow to the base of your lid and around the entire eye, slightly extending the outer corner.
Step 5: Apply black cream eyeliner to your upper lid.
Step 6: Curl lashes and apply black mascara to the upper and lower eyelashes. (Try Tweezerman ProCurl Lash Curler, $20.)

For your meet-the-in-laws weekend
When you're under extra scrutiny (meeting the in-laws definitely qualifies!) you want to make sure your brows are in tip top shape. "Brows can make you look polished or not," says Babaian. Translation: Messy brows can make you look, well, messy.

Here are Babaian's pointers for perfectly shaped eyebrows:

Step 1: Brush brows up to smooth out brow hairs.
Step 2: Cut any hairs that are too long, and make sure you snip against the direction of your hair growth.
Step 3: Use a white liner to mark your natural brow shape, then tweeze above and below the brow if you see any strays. Babaian loves Tweezerman Slant Tweezer, $22, but if you're a sucker for all things bejeweled, we recommend Tweezerman Luxe Edition Crystal Slant Tweezer, $100. It comes in five different colors, all of which are decked out in Swarovski crystals.
Step 4: Fill in any sparse areas with brow powder. "Make sure the inner corners of your brows aren't too dark, because it'll make you look frown-y and angry," says Babaian.

For your office holiday party
Want drama and flair that's work-appropriate? Babaian says the winged tip is the perfect look for your office party. If you're sprucing up in your office bathroom, you want a look that's versatile enough to add instant drama and that can go with any look.

Here are some pointers to follow:

• Apply a line of black eyeliner to your upper lashline, winging the ends up at a 45-degree angle. "The more you angle it, the stronger the look will be," says Babaian. "With a 90-degree angle, you're going to get Amy Winehouse; 45 degrees is more wearable."
• Use your business card as a guide for your winged tip, says Babaian. Hold the business card against the outer corner of your eye and use it as a ruler so that the line is straight.
• For a bolder look, try a cateye by drawing a line on your lower rim and connecting it to the winged tip.
• If you're a novice, you can create your angle with eyeshadow first, that way it's easier to clean up. Once you have the angle correct, you can go over that with your liner.
• Opt for a cream pot for your line. "Liquid eyeliners tend to be shiny and reflective," says Babaian. We love Maybelline New York Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner, $9.99, since it doesn't budge or smudge for 24 hours.

For your gift exchange with friends
Who needs a man for the holidays when you've got your best friends around? With girlfriends, there's no judgment, so Babaian recommends wearing bright pops of color, like vibrant purples and shimmery canary yellows. You can also take it up a notch and pair the bright eyes with a bold lip that is also on trend.

Here's how to get a bold look:

Step 1: Apply beige foundation to your eyelid and under-eye.
Step 2: Apply light beige concealer to your inner corner and under-eye.
Step 3: Apply the bright pigment in the color of your choice to the base of your lid, creating a sharp point at the end of the lid. We recommend MAC Pigment, $24.
Step 4: Apply a thin line of black liquid eyeliner along the upper lashline, extending slightly outside the eye and lifting the end at a 45-degree angle.
Step 5: Curl lashes and apply black mascara. You can also opt for adding a full strip of false lashes to add even more drama.
