Keira Knightley's brows, while definitely full, aren't symmetrical. "And the arch starts really far over towards the sides of her face," explains Vigliotti. "I'd want to soften up the arch underneath -- make it more gradual. Belle's brows are definitely a better shape for her."

Who should try them: Jessica Alba
While Jessica Alba doesn't have noticeably bad brows, they do have one major flaw according to Vigliotti: "They're too short at the ends -- you need to remember, what goes up must come down. There should be a rise and fall, and there isn't." We gave Alba a lighter version of Belle's brows, a look that she could easily achieve with some strategic brow powder.

The best medium arch: Julianna Margulies
For years, Julianna Margulies was known for very full eyebrows, but they've gotten thinner recently. Now, they're the ideal example of medium to thick brows. "They were my favorite eyebrows at the Golden Globes," says Vigliotti.

Who should try them: Julia Roberts
"Julia's brows have been disappearing," laments Vigliotti. "She could really benefit from more volume and a little more color." We gave her Margulies' brows, but in a shade that works with her hair and skin tone.

Who should try them: Megan Fox
Vigliotti refers to eyebrows like Megan Fox's as "Botox Brow." "It's a look that's artificially high and over-arched," she explains. The softer slope of Margulies' shape complements Fox's features and softens her expression.
You've heard it a million times: Great eyebrows can completely transform your look. But just in case you had any doubts, we did some instant celebrity eyebrow makeovers to show just how dramatic the change can be.
First, we sat down with eyebrow expert and owner of New York City's Boom Boom Brow Bar, Malynda Vigliotti, to choose the best arches in thick, medium, and thin shapes. Then, we took stars with just plain horrible brows and -- with a little Photoshop magic -- gave them a better set. The difference is remarkable. Even women who were beautiful to begin with look noticeably prettier with a new pair of face-framers.
Disclaimer: Although our brow makeovers are an upgrade, some of them look a little wonky since they're not the celebrities' actual brows. "There isn't one exact template or stencil," says Vigliotti. "Everyone's face is so different -- you need to work with what you've got." While she'd love to get her tweezers on these stars, the visuals are also gratifying. "It demonstrates how important brow shape really is," she says. Check out these celebs' new brows and who knows, maybe you'll get inspired to do your own brow revamp too.
