While all women don't have the same specific beauty concerns, it's pretty safe to say that the vast majority of us share at least one that's pretty significant: We don't really want to look older.
It's not that there's anything wrong with the aging process. It's just that we're not exactly on board with the lines, wrinkles, and age spots that come with it. So what do we do? We put up a fight. The American Academy of Dermatology estimates that we spend billions of dollars in our battle to chase the laugh lines right off our faces, trying one product after another. Instead of aimlessly trying every new beauty product on the market, wouldn't it be a good idea to talk to gorgeous women who already had all the secrets to looking young? Women who had tried it all and knew what really worked (and what didn't)?
That's exactly what we did. We turned to the experts: Beauty bloggers who have the best advice for anti-aging around. How do we know it's so good? The proof is all over their faces. Their absolutely gorgeous faces.

Ageless Beauty: Kari Solyntjes, Fab Over Forty
For Solyntjes, who writes Fab Over Forty, looking young starts with the science of skin. "Never go to bed without cleansing your face," she says. "Removing makeup and the day's dirt and grime is the only way your skin can begin to rejuvenate at night. Besides, putting on skin care products is virtually useless if they can't penetrate the skin."
Solyntjes also believes in exfoliating two to three times a week, to eliminate dead skin cells and promote a faster turnover of skin cell renewal (dead cells cloud up your complexion; new cells are brighter, making skin more radiant).
"When you're younger, your skin renews itself approximately every 25 days," she says. "After your mid-30s, it takes about as many days as your age to renew itself. For example: if you're 45, it takes about 45 days for your skin cells to renew. Exfoliating helps speed up the process and keep skin looking younger."
To keep your skin in tip-top shape, Solyntjes suggests turning a yearly dermatologist appointment into a habit. The MD can recommend personalized solutions for any of the sun or tanning booth damage you might have done years ago (that will eventually pop up on your skin). "And while you're there, have a skin cancer screening," Solyntjes says.
When it comes to makeup, Solyntjes says you should always define and fill in your eyebrows, which can thin during the aging process. Filling them in is a subtle way to help frame your face and keep it younger-looking.
You may also have to break some old habits, she says, like smoking. "Not only is it bad for your health, it's bad for your skin," says Solyntjes. "Skin loses its luster and breaks down faster for smokers than non-smokers." And if you're a habitual squinter -- well, stop. "It only causes more wrinkles around the eyes," Solyntjes says. So if you need reading glasses, find a cute pair -- and embrace them!"
Finally, don't forget your beauty sleep, says the beauty blogger -- so go ahead and hit that snooze button. "Beauty sleep is not overrated," she says. "Your skin works to repair itself while you sleep, so if you aren't getting the sleep you need, it can show up in your skin, making it lackluster, plagued with dark circles, and more."

Ageless Beauty: Alison Blackman, Advice Sisters
"I never leave the house without at least one product that has a decent amount of SPF in it, be it a tinted moisturizer, powder, or regular moisturizer," says Blackman, author of Advice Sisters. "I wish I had learned this lesson earlier in life, but it's never too early or too late to start protecting your skin from the sun's damaging rays and premature aging -- and maybe even skin cancer. It's good for youthful looks and essential for good health."
But Blackman has another top tip for looking young -- and this one has everything to do with attitude and outlook. "Stay current and don't get stuck in a stereotypical role: mom, working woman, grandma, cougar, 'mature' woman," she says. It's an important part of how you feel about yourself, which plays a bigger role in the way you look than you might believe.

Ageless Beauties: Deborah Boland and JoJami Tyler, The Glam Gals
For Boland and Tyler, who dole out beauty and style advice at Fabulous After 40, looking young forever is all about embracing the concealer. "It will help hide dark shadows, lines, and age spots," says Boland. "After age 40, concealer should be your best friend! Don't forget to apply it to the inside corner of your eyes, where it tends to get very dark with age."
But that doesn't mean you should go totally neutral with your makeup. In fact, says Tyler, the right colors can make you look even fresher. "Softer pinks and peach lip colors -- worn with a touch of gloss to make them shine -- are most flattering," Tyler says. "Fuller lips look younger, so avoid bright reds -- they can make lips look harsh and thin."
And don't forget to take care of your lips, either. "Tired, dry lips look aged," Boland says. "Exfoliation makes them baby-smooth and soft."
