While Kim Kardashian didn't prove to have any hidden smooth moves on the dance floor, she did whip around some luxuriously smooth hair while doing the foxtrot. Her raven hair was gorgeous and long, unlike her short stint on the show. She only made it to week two.

Worst: Lil' Kim, Season 8
Dancing in the season with perhaps one of the most bazaar group of celebs (Stev-o, really?), Lil' Kim actually made it pretty far despite her constant display of horrendous wigs. Her Betty Page inspired look might be cute for a pin-up calendar, but not for dancing to ballroom music. Obviously it was her killer timing and precise footwork that got her standing ovations, not her hair.

Best: Denise Richards, Season 8
Denise Richards was the second celebrity to be voted off despite having some pretty rockin' beachy waves. Perhaps she was so quick to go because her dancing is on par with her acting. Ouch.

Worst: Marissa Jaret Winokur, Season 9
Perhaps someone should have told "Hairspray" star Marissa Jaret Winokur that her bigger-than-life hair looks best on the Broadway stage and not on our 20-inch TV screens. All that Broadway dance training did allow her to last pretty long on the show though. You win some, you lose some.

Best: Brooke Burk, Season 7
The new host of the show, Brooke Burk debuted her touchably-soft curls first as a contestant on "DWTS". Was it really her perfect choreography that garnered her first place or was it her perfect hair (body, smile, personality) that brought home the disco ball trophy? We have to bet it was the whole package.
What do you get when you bring together a bunch of B-list celebrities, sexy professional dance partners, lots of sequins, and the waltz, tango or foxtrot? Besides numerous sprained ankles and "I-can't-believe-they-hooked-up" drama, you get a whole lot of reality TV fun. And with any big dancing production, you get a lot of hit or miss celebrity hairstyles ripe for water cooler ridicule.
For the last 10 seasons, "Dancing with the Stars" on ABC has been pairing random celebrities (most with some sort of scandalous past -- i.e. DUIs, sex-scandals, prison stints) together with professional dancers to learn choreographed routines that are performed in front of a live studio audience and a panel of judges. Each week, a couple gets the boot based on votes from viewers, and more often than not, it has nothing to do with who tangoed the best. Which got us beauty gals thinkin', could the hairstyles these celebrities wear possibly be influencing America's votes? We personally know how difficult it is to properly judge our favorite reality show queen or playboy playmates' two-step when they are dancing with some seriously bad hair, ratty looking hair extensions, or footloose frizz.
While of course, in judging these celebrity hairstyles, one has to take into account that such a circus of a show lends itself to some funky formal 'dos. But, for instance, did Brook Burke's beautiful brown waves have anything to do with her almost perfect scores in season seven? Or were Shannon Doherty's silly pigtails the reason she was the first to be ousted this season? Was it Marie Osmond's fainting spell or her rough-looking curls that got her sympathy votes? Let's look at some evidence. Here are the ten best and worst hairstyles from "Dancing with the Stars". We think you'll agree that their hair had a lot to do with their success.
