Trend to try ... cobalt blue shadow
If you dare, bold colors are a huge eye trend for fall. Think "cobalt blues, shimmering turquoise, matte coral, the inspiration is endless," says Ciucci. The trick is to use them sparingly, either by applying them as eyeliner, or using a sheer shadow on your lid. Keep mascara to a minimum so the focus is on the colorful shadow. Bonus: These bright colors can brighten your whole eye area for a younger look.

Trend to try ... thick lower liner
You're probably used to applying liner to your top lashline, but a thick lower line is a fun twist that still gives your eyes plenty of definition, says Warren. The key is to prep your eyes, since the lower liner will make any darkness under your eyes more noticeable. Try an eye cream that minimizes darkness, like Clinique Even Better Eyes Dark Circle Corrector, $39.50. Then use an eye primer to help your liner last.
Warrens how-to: Draw with a pencil liner on the back of your hand, then dip a stiff, short bristle, flat eyeshadow brush into that color on your hand. Then, draw a soft line along your lower lashes. Make it as thick as you'd like, and finish by softening the edges of the line with a dry, clean, fluffy shadow brush. Set the look with translucent powder to keep it in place all day.

Trend to try ... two layers of liquid liner
If a bright smoky eye is a bit much for you, this look may be more your speed. To do it, Warren says to first apply a line of black liquid liner right against your upper lash roots (which will make your lashes look thicker and define your eyes). "Then, directly along the tip edge of the black line, try a fun color like teal or bright blue," she says.
And to keep your eyes looking young, Warren says to always flick the lines of your liner upward at the outer corners of your eyes. "Even if your eyes naturally go downward, don't follow that shape, just lift your liner up at the outer corners to create the illusion of an eye lift," she says.

Trend to try ... shimmery brown shadow
A black smoky eye is beautiful for sure, but it can be a bit harsh. So, this fall, try the same smoky eye technique, but with shimmery browns for a softer effect that still has plenty of drama. "Start with a shimmery gold on the inner corner of your eyes and lids," says Mae. It'll brighten your eye area, making your eyes look more awake. "Then take two or three different browns and go over the crease and outer corners." Mae adds that this eye makeup is best paired with rosy cheeks for a fresh-faced look.
