When you're trying to get out the door each morning, it's easy to reach for your go-to brown eyeshadow palette and peach-colored lip gloss. But for those weekends when you have some extra time to get ready, it can be fun to break out of your beauty box.

Stylist Diana L. Chan says even though it might feel uncomfortable at first, "trying something completely out of your realm is not only a great way to shake things up, but you may stumble onto something you actually really like."

To help make the seemingly crazy trends a bit more wearable, we asked Chan and celebrity makeup artist Sabrina Mae to fill us in on how any girl can wear the hottest hair, makeup, and style trends you've been spotting in magazines and runways this season. Your mission, if you choose to accept, is to try one of these bold trends every weekend for two months.

And of course, half the fun of a night out (and trying a new look) is getting ready. So make it an event: get together with your girlfriends, crank up the music, and make yourselves a round of drinks. But instead of a cocktail that's packed with calories and will make you lose steam too early in the evening, mix some mocktails. Crystal Light has five fun new flavors -- Margarita, Mojito, Appletini, Pomtini, and Peach Bellini -- and they only have 5 calories per serving. What better way to add some flavor to your Friday night? Go ahead -- live on the beauty edge.

Week 1: Wear extravagant falsies
False lashes are an instant glam fix for those born with sparse lashes, but we dare you to go a step further and wear falsies that have longer, more dramatic tips at the ends. You can even wear lashes that have images of peacocks or scenes from your favorite movies. (Try Paperself Eyelashes, $19.) The key to wearing such bold lashes is to keep the rest of your face neutral. Mae suggests using a cream-colored eyeshadow for the entire lid, then use a nude lipstick. The perfect Crystal Light mocktail pairing for this look? Peach Bellini -- it'll match your lip color.

Week 2: Wear a bright lip color
"For spring it's all about playing with color and being bold," says Chan -- even when it comes to makeup. Fuchsia lips, orange eyeshadow, and even turquoise liner are becoming everyday wear for women off the runway. When wearing a bright lip, Chan recommends pairing the look with a white lacy dress, which will help the colored lip pop (sipping on a matching Pomtini Crystal Light mocktail doesn't hurt either). And if you're a lip gloss-and-go kind of girl, Poppy King, founder of Lipstick Queen Cosmetics, shares her secret to making every bold color wearable: "For any color you're scared of, you can wear it as a sheer formula," she says. "It doesn't have to be full pigment to be on-trend."

Week 3: Wear runway-inspired hair
During this year's New York Fashion Week, the runways were filled with women who looked like they just came out of the ocean. "Slicked-back, wet-looking hair is more wearable than you think," says Mae. If you have a short style, spray water onto your hair then comb a lightweight gel on top -- it's an easy way to get a finished, chic look. If you have long hair, you can slick back your hair into a high ponytail or a tight bun. Expert tip: Apply gel on a toothbrush and brush along your hairline to catch all of the flyaways. And keep the beachy vibe going with a Margarita mocktail from Crystal Light.

Week 4: Layer your eyeshadows
"Peacock-colored eyeshadow has been trending recently, with bright blue as a leading star," says Mae. It may sound crazy, but Mae says the peacock feather finish looks good on every skin tone. To get the look, apply a bluish green eyeshadow all over your lids. Then, apply a bright blue-colored shadow just to the crease. Finally, apply a neon, bright green shadow on the outer and inner corners of the eyes to make them pop. Finish with black liner on the upper lashline and lots of mascara. This is the perfect look to try on what you're hoping will be a wild girls' night out.
