As beauty editors, we're expected to stay on top of trends and we receive loads of press releases about the latest and greatest beauty products to help us do just that. And we seem to get an extra flurry of them around the holiday season -- which starts in like early October -- so it really helps get us in the holiday mood long before Starbucks and every other establishment starts playing their Christmas tunes. Whether you've been naughty or nice this year, being that it's the season of giving (well, supposed to be, anyway) we decided to share some beauty product gift ideas with you.
We mentioned that we have gift ideas for everyone, right? Well, we do. We have something for preppy types, skin care enthusiasts, foodies, music snobs, classic chicks, the men in your life, girly girls, nail connoisseurs, fashionistas, jet setters and more. Most of these items are beautifully packaged limited edition gift sets filled with beauty goodies that you'll have a difficult time parting with. Note: while these beauty products are gift suggestions, it doesn't mean you can't treat yourself to one of them and put a gift tag on it saying "From: Santa."
Oh, and to help you stay within your budget, we've conveniently labeled the proceeding photos with dollar signs to easily help you decifer if the gift we're suggesting is in your price range or not. Here's the breakdown:
The unveiling of the darling MAC Holiday Collection 2010: A Tartan Tale, has got beauty bloggers and beauty editors all a buzz. We literally had to wipe the drool from the corner's of our mouths when we first set eyes on these products. The standout piece has to be the eyeshadow with a plaid pattern imprinted on it, but everything in this collection is gift-worthy. If we have to pick the best gift idea though, it would be the Sassy Coral Lassies Lipglass, $29 -- which includes five glosses in a reusable plaid tin.

For skin care enthusiasts
Liz Earle's famous face wash continually tops editor's favorite lists (ours included). Never tried it before? It's a highly concentrated cleansing cream that you massage into your face and wipe off with a damp muslin cloth (included). We know it doesn't sound like the re-invention of the skin care wheel, but there's really no comparison to the makeup-removing, glowing results it yields. Just trust us on this and try it. And now if you want to gift it, there's an especially pretty way to do so with the Cleanse & Polish Limited Edition, $32.50, which comes in an schmancy embossed metallic case. Warning: You will want to keep one for yourself.
