A Great Blush Gives a Radiant Glow
As you age, your skin produces less oil, making you more prone to dryness, says Chang-Babaian (that's why you now suddenly love the thick, creamy moisturizers you wouldn't have let near your face in your 20s). She recommends a cream blush for dry skin -- just be sure to smile and apply it only to the apples of your cheeks. If you feel the need to thin out your face, do it with a contour product, not your your blush a la the '80s (you know, applying it from under your cheekbones to your temple?).

Try: Ciate London Blush Pop Creme Blush, $19. This superblendable blush gives skin a rosy, healthy glow. Use your fingertips to layer it until you reach your desired intensity -- the first layer goes on incredibly sheer, so you don't have to worry about overdoing it.

Yes, You Can Wear Eye Makeup
It's no secret that eyeliner has magical, eye-defining properties. But as you get older, the skin above your lash line becomes saggy and droopy. The fix? Swap your regular pencil eyeliner (which can drag and tug on your skin, creating those "dashed" lines) for a cream eyeliner with a brush, or gel liner, as they apply more smoothly, says Chang-Babaian.

"You actually don't want to get a straight line when you're eyes are closed," she explains. "Check when your eyes are open, you will need extra on the ends to get a straight line." Angle your liner up on the ends at a 45-degree angle to "lift" fallen lids. Do the same when you apply eye shadow to the outer corners of your eye to really fake an eyelift. (Read more eye makeup tips for hooded eyes here.)

Try: Sephora Collection Contour Matte Gel Eyeliner, $14. Try this creamy, easy to apply liner in one of the black or brown shades to define your eyes without being harsh. The gel formula ensures that there's no tugging or dragging as you apply, and it's long-lasting, so you won't find it in your crease mere hours later. Use small strokes to get an even, straight line.

Fill in Your Brows for an Instant Face Lift
Cara D.-inspired brows may be all the rage, but unfortunately it's not really realistic to recreate that bushy-on-purpose look as you age. Why? Because your brows thin out and droop at the ends as you get older, says Chang-Babaian. But that doesn't mean you can't make yourself look younger with a couple quick tips.

Lift your brows by applying a powder or brow pencil with a brush-through spoolie along the top line of the tail of your brows. Then, fill in any sparse areas lightly and brush through for a soft but defined look.

Try: Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Long Wear Brow Pencil, $42. The slanted tip makes it easy to be ultra-precise when you apply, and it's formulated with waxes and emollients so it won't budge all day. After applying, use the spoolie on the end to soften the color.

Get a Radiant Complexion With Highlighter
When you lose moisture in your skin, you also lose your skin's natural luminosity. Luckily, you can add some of that back with highlighter -- if you're smart about it. Chang-Babaian says if your face is lighter than your body (that's the case with most people), it can make the contrast too extreme.

To give your face more structure, apply a non-shimmery highlighter lightly along the bridge of your nose, under your eyes, on the center of your forehead and on your chin. Just be sure to add a hint of depth back in by brushing on bronzer or contour powder under your cheekbones and along the edges of your face.

You can also create a dewy glow with a creamy, shimmery highlighter, which will add light to the high points of your face. Use your fingers to apply it to your cheekbones, brow bones and the inner corners of your eyes.

Try: Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer, $26, moisturizes skin with argan oil and glycerin. A slightly golden undertone flatters everyone and adds a subtle glow.

Choose Foundation That Gives You a Glow
"Medium coverage foundations that are silicone-based add dewiness to your skin and help with ruddiness, in addition to covering veins, which can appear more visible as skin thins" says Chang-Babaian. Just don't try and add extra coverage via a pressed powder, as that can create a too-matte, cakey look. Instead, opt for a loose powder used sparingly.

Try: Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation, $48. This lightweight foundation comes in 20 different shades with varying undertones (read: it's easy to find one that matches your skin). Use your fingers to press it into your skin, starting from your nose and working outward toward your hairline. Touch up and remove and excess product with a slightly damp beauty sponge.

We all want to look our best — and by "best" we mean the most youthful version of ourselves. There are many ways to slow down the aging process; wearing sunscreen religiously, eating lots of fruits and veggies, drinking boatloads of water, having an exercise routine and using quality skin care can all help keep you young.

But for those of you who might have missed the anti-aging memo, we hate to break it to you, but once the crow's feet and sun spots have set in, there aren't many ways to make them disappear short of spending tons of cash or getting cosmetic surgery. So your next best option is to fake it. And how can you fake it, you ask? With makeup, of course.

But if you're not careful with your application, makeup can actually make you look even older, so you've got to make sure you have the right products and know-how. That's why we called on the expertise of Taylor Chang-Babaian, author of Beauty Rewind.

She gives us the scoop on which types of lip, face and eye makeup to use in order to look younger in minutes.
