Back to lips: "I love using plum on lips. This fat pencil gives the pigment of a lipstick, but goes on almost like a lip glaze. Such a great, modern finish," says Freedman. "It's best for gals with medium to full lips since it doesn't stay in a sharp enough point to really sculpt and define thin lips," he says.
When Freedman reaches for this product, we share a knowing glance. We are already well aware of this product's greatness. "I use [this] after applying a favorite eyeshadow look to add sparkle and drama," he says. "The bronze is beautiful with a wash of pewter on the lid. The brown anchors the cool-toned lid and adds depth. The texture is smooth and blends easily. Work fast though because once it's dry, it really stays," he says.

In a moment of bravery we (half jokingly) called A-list celebrity makeup artist Brett Freedman last week and asked him to accompany us on a drugstore scavenger hunt for the best makeup for fall.
