Christine is a hard-working event coordinator who, after establishing her own company and entering her 30s, is ready for a change. Plus, she's celebrating another accomplishment -- losing 50 pounds -- and says she feels like herself again. "A new hairstyle is symbolic," she says. "I'm growing, my business is growing -- it's time to look sophisticated and grown up." We're calling in the experts -- including hairstylist Frederique Carme, colorist Amy Huson, and makeup artist Joette Balsamo, all from the Marie Robinson salon in New York City -- to complete her transformation.

'I'm willing to do anything.'
Christine is ready for something drastic. "It's so straight -- I wish my hair was fuller, thicker, and had more volume," says Christine of her current look. "I would love something lighter -- and as far as length, I'm open to anything." Our experts are thrilled to have Christine's complete trust.

The color
Huson's plan for Christine's natural hair color is to add some fun to her look -- something young and fresh, yet manageable to match her job. "We're concentrating on brightening up around her face and the ends to give it a little bit of a grown-out, beachy look," says Huson. "It's going to be the same color on top and lighter on the ends and the front." The highlights help to brighten Christine's look without overwhelming or over-processing her current color.

The cut
Carme took the reigns on Christine's hair and chopped a lot of length off the bottom. "I'm a firm believer in trusting experts so I'm very open-minded," says Christine. "We decided to cut it to collarbone length," says Carme. "I'm going to do it almost blunt but give a layer to it just to create some texture." She adds the layers just in the front to frame Christine's face -- the result is like long bangs.

The style
Carme avoids giving Christine too many layers because of her naturally fine hair. By cutting modestly around her face, Carme keeps the look full and voluminous. Then, she blows out Christine's hair in a style that works with her natural texture but has extra movement.
