Kidman, like Streep, is no stranger to the Oscars. This Aussie actress has had to select many hairstyles, dresses and shoes for this event before. She tends to go with romantic updos to give her curly hair a polished finish, and this year should be no exception.

Zoe Saldana
Relatively new to big-budget stardom, Saldana's hit film "Avatar" has catapulted her into the limelight. As a newbie, we recommend, and think she'll go for, a simple 'do like a slicked-back ponytail. She wouldn't want to step on any gilded toes by going for a look that's too attention-grabbing.

Anna Kendrick
Kendrick's up-tight character in "Up in the Air" always had her hair secured into a tight, rigid bun. For this grand occasion we think she should go in the opposite direction. A wavy down 'do would be a perfect way to make a young, laidback (but still totally gorgeous) statement.

Kate Hudson
This rom-com queen seems to be setting her eyes on more serious, or should we say, Oscar-worthy roles. Though she wasn't nominated this year, we know she'll be working the red carpet with her other "Nine" co-stars. Our hairstyle prediction/suggestion for her? A sophisticated updo -- to remind us of her potential.

Kate Winslet
Winslet usually goes for glamorous when it comes to the Oscars. Since classy updos have worked so well for her in the past, we think she should stick to what works. No shame in that -- especially since she'll be presenting one of the biggest awards of the night.

So are you ready for Hollywood's biggest night? Do you have your office pool all set up? You know, the one that predicts who is going to win Best Actress, Director, Film, etc. at this year's Oscars? Guessing who's going to take home the little, gold, bald guy is half the fun of the Academy Awards hoopla, right? The other half of the fun, for any hair, makeup, fashion-loving fiend, is seeing how your favorite celebrities look at the momentous occasion. See, there is a reason why the pre-show on the red carpet, detailing every inch of a celebrities' look, lasts almost as long as the show itself.
So in the spirit of Oscar predictions, we have decided, after careful consideration, to select some of the best celebrity hairstyles previously seen on the red carpet, and with the help of our good friend Photoshop, we popped them on the heads of this year's lovely nominees, presenters and guests. These "new" styles are what we think these celebs should wear as they parade down the carpet. So, should Sandra Bullock wear Meryl Streep's winning look from a previous Academy Awards ceremony? Or would she look better in a Penelope Cruz-inspired 'do? Will Maggie Gyllenhaal beat out Anna Kendrick with a classic updo that always works so well for Kate Winslet? And because Nicole Kidman and Kate Hudson aren't nominated for Oscars this year (though they will be there), should they opt for a low-key style so they don't upstage the great Helen Mirren? There really is just so much to consider.
While there is no money to be won on this pool, there sure is a good amount of fun to be had in predicting and suggesting who should wear what (previously-worn) celebrity hairstyles. Let the guessing games begin.
