Panettiere's cherry-red lips are great for a friend's holiday bash:
Step 1: Apply foundation to even your skin tone and use brow pencil (try Avon Ultra Luxury Brow Liner, $1.99) to fill in brows for definition.
Step 2: Use black eyeliner (try MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Engraved, $14.50) on upper and lower lash lines and inner rims, smudging out the corners a bit. Apply two coats of black mascara (false lashes optional) to finish your eyes.
Step 4: Line your lips with a cherry red lip pencil (try MAC Lip Pencil in Redd, $13) then fill them in to help the color stay. Follow up with a matching lipstick that has a slight sheen to it (try MAC Lustre Lipstick in Cockney, $14). Make sure lips are moisturized beforehand so there's no flaking or feathering.

Stand out in the crowd on New Years Eve with this frosty look:
Step 1: Even your skin tone with foundation and sweep a bit of pink blush on your cheekbones (don't over do it though, the focus is on the eyes for this look).
Step 3: Apply false eyelashes (use this video as a guide) on the outer corners of your lash lines (cut full lash strips in half and use the outer half only) for a winged look. Apply mascara before and after applying false lashes to blend your real lashes into the fake ones.
Step 3: Use a cranberry-colored lip liner to line your lips (try Clinique Quickliner for Lips in Rich Red, $14) and fill them in for staying power. Then, apply a long-lasting (hey, you'll want to make it through dinner, right?) cranberry-colored lipstick (like Clinique Long Last Soft Shine Lipstick in Merlot, $14) with a lip brush for precision. Follow up with clear gloss, and put an extra dot of gloss in the center of your lips to make them appear fuller.
