Her blowout
If you share Michelle's hair texture, your hair should offer built-in volume, Dickey says. After you prep hair with heat protectant (find a highly rated one here), completely dry hair with this blow-drying technique. Then flatiron hair in small sections. "The smaller the sections, the less effort [overall]," Dickey says. Finish with a lightweight moisturizer or glossing cream (try Fekkai Glossing Cream, $20) that will tame flyaways.

Her curled-under bob
To get a subtle curl like this on the ends of your bob haircut, "use a large-barrel curling iron on a medium heat setting or big cloth-covered hot rollers -- medium to large size," says Dickey. (Try Conair Infiniti Flocked Rollers, $47.99 or one of these top curling irons.)
