Style trick: Start a side French braid and once you reach your ear, basic braid it the rest of the way down to the ends of your hair. Then wrap the tail of the braid into a chignon and secure with bobby pins.

Style trick: Rake a small amount of strong-hold gel through your hair and twist it into a bun. Secure with a clip or elastic to let hair set for 15 minutes. Let hair out to reveal a perfect beachy texture. Then secure into a ponytail.

Style trick: To make sure that your hair pins don't slip out of your chignon, bend one tip of the pin before you slide it in. It will hook tightly onto your hair and prevent it from popping out and letting your style loose.

Style trick: To get the imperfect curl look you see here, set hair by rolling up four-inch-wide strips of tin foil. Wrap one-inch sections of hair around the foil roller and pinch the ends of the foil together to hold the hair. Next press a hot flat iron over the hair and foil. Let hair set for 30 minutes.
