The look: Red lips
"Thanks to the return of Hollywood glamour on the runways, television and red carpet, red lips are ultra hot right now. Whether you wear a true, fire engine red [as seen here on Rose Byrne] or a more subtle, berry variation, the key to wearing a red lip is being confident," says Devitt. The bonus: red lips are a no-fail staple for fall that can quickly polish off any look.

Application tips: To achieve sexy, full lips, Devitt suggests her quick buffing technique. Grab a red lip pencil (try MAC Lip Pencil in Cherry or Redd, $13) and use "light feathering strokes around the lip line, blending inwards towards the center. Then apply a matte or sheer [red] lipstick evenly all over lips with a lip brush. This delivers maximum pigment and long-lasting color," advises Devitt.

The look: Voluminous ponytail
Ponytails were all over the fall runways. We saw sleek, high tails, soft, low ones and romantically swept to the side ponytails -- like the style seen here on Nicole Ritchie. "This is a hot and modern twist on the traditional ponytail. The key to making this look cool and modern is not having the hair be perfectly polished. Use a product to give your hair extra thickness and texture," says Papanikolas.

Styling tips: To create this look, backcomb the hair around your crown to create volume. Then, gently comb hair back and to the side and spritz a light-hold hairspray over the top. Secure a side pony with and elastic and spritz the tail with KMS California Hair Play Texture Blast, $16. Texturizing the tail will "give you the roughed up, modern edge," says Papanikolas.

The look: Contoured cheeks
Contoured cheeks are synonymous with fall and this season is no exception. Rouged cheekbones, like the ones seen here on Leighton Meester, are an easy way to add definition to your face (and make it look thinner) and quickly put your makeup look on-trend.

Application tips: "I use the dot technique to apply color to cheek[s] instead of large, sweeping motions. I always tell my clients to look up, and then apply the blush high on their cheekbones -- it's like an instant face lift," says Devitt. "For a bit of extra glow, use fingertips and apply a gel [blush] right onto the apples," she says, suggesting you blend it with a fingertip. (try Sue Devitt Gel-To-Powder Blush in North Cape, $20). To diffuse the color a bit, dust a bit of pressed powder around the apples of your cheeks.

The look: Sleek side-parted bun
Deep side parts, like the one seen here on Keira Knightley, are back with a sleek vengeance this autumn and winter (you've been officially put on notice). Couple that with a low braided bun and you'll look totally chic and polished in minutes.

Styling tips: To create this low chignon, create a deep part with a fine-tooth comb, secure hair into a low ponytail, braid the tail, wrap it into a bun shape and secure with bobby pins. Pull apart the braid a bit to give it a fun texture in the back" says Papanikolas. Finish by "using a pomade like Joico's Gloss Wax, $13.99 to tame any flyaways," and get that slicked-down look, he says.

The look: Feline eyes paired with flawless skin
Retro cat eyes, like the ones seen here on Christina Hendricks, are sexy and easy to copy. To nail this look, you'll need a flawless-looking complexion. From there, add a quality black liquid liner and mascara to instantly make your look fall-appropriate.

Application tips: Creating a flawless complexion is all about the makeup application process, says Devitt. She uses a "step-by-step routine" recommended for all skin types.

Step 1: Apply foundation only where it's needed (find the best foundation for you here). After foundation, apply a light dusting of loose powder, and finish with concealer applied to the areas that need it (try Smashbox High Definition Liquid Concealer, $18). "I'm a proponent of foundation first, followed by concealer so you can actually see what you need to pay extra attention to," advises Devitt.

Step 2: Dust blush on the apples of your cheeks for a touch of subtle color.

Step 3: For the cat eye, use an inky black liner like Maybelline New York Lineworks Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, $6.99 and gently sweep it across your upper lash line, winging it out just past the natural line of your eye, to create that sexy feline look. Finish with three coats of jet-black mascara like Dior Mascara Diorshow, $24 applied to top lashes only to further enhance the drama.

Fall is well, it's falling upon us rapidly. As to be predicted, celebrities' hairstyles and makeup choices are quickly starting to reflect the season's new upcoming fads, which means, we mortals should start adapting, right? So, what are the oh-so fabulous "fall fads" -- the ones that are so strikingly different from last fall's that you should be desperately ready to follow? And which celebrity's makeup look or coif from the runway is worth forgetting all your summer faves for? These discerning questions need to be asked and answered.

See the easiest fall hair and makeup trends now.

To start, what's exciting about the trends this fall is, most of the "in" looks are chic and easily help you look pulled-together. Rich satin eye makeup, lush beautiful lashes, simple ponytails, and of course, as no fall makeup trend report could be without, luscious red lips -- each of these looks will quickly have you saying "summer who?". The best part? All of these hairstyles and makeup looks take mere minutes to create. Because the last time we checked, we didn't have a team of stylists or backstage beauty gurus spending countless hours perfecting our fall staple French twist (wouldn't that be nice).

What we do have though is makeup artist Sue Devitt and celeb hairstylist George Papanikolas (he's worked with Nicole Ritchie, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Miley Cryrus among others), who are about to tell us how to recreate the styles hot off the September issue-press -- easily.
