"I've been a tomboy my whole life," says Melanie, a marketing account executive aiming to move up the ranks. "I read a lot of beauty blogs but I don't understand what they're talking about half the time."

Get the perfect haircut
Want a style that easily looks put-together? Getting the right haircut is half the battle. Melanie's biggest peeve is her flat hair. The solution: a soft, weightless bob that "falls where it's supposed to be" and doesn't need a lot of styling.

How to style
To get this look, Luke says to shampoo hair with Suave Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner. Then on towel-dried hair, apply Suave Volumizing Foam Mousse from roots to ends and comb thru. Next, apply Suave Professionals Root Lifter Spray Gel to just your roots before blow drying in sections with a medium-sized round brush. When you reach the front, blow dry your bangs to a slight angle (slide the brush through them until hair drops off the end for a more modern, less curled under look). Then flatiron just the ends of your hair for a choppy effect. Finish by lightly spritzing hair with Suave Professionals Extra Hold Aerosol Hairspray for hold.

After
"They did a great job," says Melanie, who later happily informed us of her new executive job title: director of marketing. "[The makeover] definitely helped. It gave me more confidence and ... without a lot of work, helped me get a job I would never have thought I could get."
