Joanne has been a nurse for more than 20 years. "I don't have the time or energy to take care of myself and update my look," she says. "I've had the same hairstyle for ages."

We think it's time this nurse got taken care of, so we set her up with a makeover. Our team: Luke O'Connor, Suave Professionals celebrity stylist and co-owner of Lukaro Salon in Beverly Hills, Calif., and makeup artist Sabrina Mae. See how they transform Joanne's look.

'I want to rock'
For her hair, Joanne wants anything but ordinary. "I want something that'll give me a young, edgy look, like a piecey pixie cut." O'Connor wants to give Joanne a rock 'n roll piecey look, but one that's also easily versatile so that "she can look like a mom when she wants to and look like she's ready to rock out otherwise."

The cut
O'Connor first cuts off several inches at the back of her hair and layers it. The front layers are left longer than the back to really bring out her features and the piecey bangs draw attention to her eyes.

The style
Before blow drying, O'Connor spritzes Suave Professionals Volumizing Root Boost Spray, $3, at the roots to give Joanne's hair volume. Then he applies Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Smooth and Shine Serum, $3, for shine. Lastly, he takes just a dab of Suave Professionals Sleek Anti-Frizz Styling Cream, $3, in his palms and gives her layers some definition.

The makeup
"I'm excited to get my makeup done!" says Joanne. "I always wear eyeliner before I leave my house so I love playing with eye makeup. Maybe I can learn how to do a winged tip finally." Mae obliges and gives her a makeup look worthy of a rock star. She applies purple eyeshadow on the lid up to the crease. She then applies gray eyeshadow into the crease and the outer corners, creating a sideways "V." With black liquid eyeliner, Mae creates a winged tip. The final step is adding false lashes. She uses i-Envy by KISS full strip in Paparazzi, $3.95. Mae applies a slight pink flush to the cheeks and she's done!
