Vanessa Hudgens
To get Hudgens' sexy, messy waves, Halouska recommends using a medium iron to curl the hair (by wrapping hair around the iron, not clamping it in) and sleeping on it. (Again, "make sure the ends are left out," reminds Halouska.) In the morning, "put in some dry shampoo, scrunch it up a little and run your fingers through it," she says.

Jennifer Hudson
If you've got relaxed hair like Hudson's, "dry shampoo is awesome" for creating any type of texture, says Halouska. Try one like Klorane Eco Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk, $18 and then tease hair up a bit. See how Hudson's ends also slightly flip out? This adds to the haphazard, layered look. "You don't want anything blunt," Halouska warns.

Kristin Cavallari
This gal from "The Hills" is known for her fun, beachy waves. To get Cavallari's look, separate hair into a few sections and loosely wrap the lower part of your strands (minus the ends) around a large curling iron (a few seconds will do -- you want to keep it casual and messy). Leave the ends alone to get the piece-y finish.

Drew Barrymore
Even chicks with short hair like Barrymore's can get in on this sexy, textured trend. The key to the style is to make your hair "look dense, like you havent really washed it," says Halouska. To look like you've been out all night (minus the stink), run a nickel size dollop of volumizing foam, like Nexxus Mousse Plus, $9.49 through your strands and scrunch your hair while blow drying it.

Who knew haphazard hair could look so chic? We are used to seeing these "bedhead" styles splashed across celebrity weeklies when stars get caught on a Starbucks run by the paparazzi, but these relaxed 'dos are making their way out of bed and onto the red carpet. From movie premiers to award shows, short to long hair, these playful textured looks are making big waves in Hollywood.

Celebrities like Sienna Miller and Kristen Stewart have been frequent displayers of this carefree look. But other celebs like Jennifer Garner, who is known for her usually polished style, has given this textured look a go and even Victoria Beckham has abandoned her "Posh" look for a more tousled one lately.

While these hairstyles are slightly more dressed up for a night out, they still give off an easy-going, I'm-not-obsessed-with-being-perfect look. That said, it may seem as though these celebs just rolled off the pillow, but in reality they did spend some time primping. That is why we spoke with Jillian Halouska of Warren Tricomi Salon in New York -- to get the scoop on how we mortals can get this perfectly messy, textured hair.
