Tip No. 7: Don't fuss over your lips, just grab a stick
Lips may be small but they sure command a lot of attention -- and products. There's lip balm, lip primer, lip liner, lipstick, and lipgloss. But, Barose says you can skip all the steps with a multi-tasking lip color product. "I'm a fan of Clinique Chubby Sticks Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm, $15. It'll give you a bright color, a little pop that's still understated, and because it comes in a pencil form it's easier to apply," he says. "And it has the texture of a lip balm while giving a little bit more sheen."

Tip No. 8: Get sexy hair fast
For a natural, sexy look when you're pressed for time, Ted Gibson of Ted Gibson Salon recommends going for an easy tousled style. First, spritz a texturizing spray into damp hair (we like Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Texturizing Sea Spray, $17.95). Then, "twist your hair into a bun [and let it sit while you] do your makeup and finish getting ready. Blow dry the bun for a few minutes, then release it and finger comb, setting with a light-hold hairspray." Try Bumble and bumble Spray de Mode, $14. You'll be left with sexy, easy waves.

Tip No. 9: Amp up the drama without missing happy hour
Time for a midday touch-up or need to freshen up for happy hour after work? Barose says to "skip eyeshadow and eyeliner altogether and go with eye pencils that have powdery textures." There are a lot of powder eyeliners that are "almost like an eyeshadow on a stick," he says. All you have to do is glide it on and smudge it out with a cotton swab or your finger. We love Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencil, $20, which comes in an array of hot colors.
Your kids are half dressed and running around the kitchen refusing to eat their oatmeal, which your dog licks up instead. All the while you're hopping on one foot trying to get your other heel on while hurriedly trying to swipe on some mascara before grabbing the keys and making a mad dash for the door, kids in tow.
