During her second go-round, she finally earns an "A" in the beauty department. Gone are Josie Grossie's braces, poufy '80s dresses and side ponies. She masters perfectly coiffed curls by the time she puckers up for that very public first kiss.

Vivian Ward's moment of triumph over that snobby Beverly Hills saleswoman is classic. Plus, there's nothing better than a shopping spree montage -- especially when it involves charging an obscene amount of money to someone else's credit card. But this rags-to-riches tale features another big development: Julia Roberts' amazingly voluminous hair. Which makes us wonder: How the heck did she hide her massive mane underneath that tiny platinum blonde wig?

We actually love every stage of Romy and Michelle's ten-year style evolution -- back brace and rhinestone chokers included. But those final blue and pink dresses with the sparkles and feathers? If only all movie makeovers ended so spectacularly.

Arguably the best film adaptation of Cinderella, "Ever After" makes us fall in love with a soot-caked, doe-eyed Drew Barrymore. When she emerges at the ball clad in shimmery makeup and wings, and the prince runs toward her at the movie's climax, well, let's just say you won't find dry eyes here.

No. 2: Clueless
"Cher's main thrill in life is a makeover. It gives her a sense of control in a world full of chaos." We couldn't have said it any better, Dionne. Tai's transformation from a grungy airhead to an auburn-haired, belly-bearing popular girl is undoubtedly one of our favorites. We also adore the ingenious use of Coke cans as curlers and that early 90s workout sequence. Tai's polka dot spandex crop top set? To-die for.
