An unfortunate bet instigated this movie makeover (a high school hunk was challenged to turn "any" girl into a prom queen in six weeks), but the results are still impressive. Artistic wallflower Laney Boggs loses her ponytails, overalls and glasses, transforming into a hottie who isn't afraid to flaunt her figure in a body-con spaghetti-strapped dress.

This tops the list of innocent-virgin-goes-bad-girl movie makeovers. Sweetheart Sandy shocks everyone with teased hair and tight black pants in the film's final scene. In the ultimate geek-to-chic 90s film, 25-year-old Josie Gellar gets to relive high school -- all in the name of investigative reporting, of course. During her second go-round, she finally earns an "A" in the beauty department. Gone are Josie Grossie's braces, poufy '80s dresses and side ponies. She masters perfectly coiffed curls by the time she puckers up for that very public first kiss.
