Speaking of silver and metallic, Nicole Miller went all out this season with this pair of textured, pointy-toe pumps. Her collection was riddled with ripped tights matched with futuristic cutout heels, which created a fierce, almost post-apocalyptic aesthetic that we are loving.

Strike Gold
Metallic accents were a big shoe theme at fashion week. But one of our favorite examples by far was this Art Deco pump by footwear designer Paul Andrew, who used gold triangular details to create a contemporary sense of glamour.

The New Strappy
Our jaws dropped at Herve Leger's show this season as strong, strappy pump after strong, strappy pump paraded down the runway. We can totally see ourselves transitioning a nude platform stiletto like this one from the office to a night out.

Isn't It Romance?
Though we love our fierce metallics, this pair of velvety platforms by Red Valentino was a breath of fresh air at fashion week this season. The high platform and secure buckle put these gems on the comfy side of the heels spectrum. The feminine, vintage aesthetic brings some much-needed romance to our roundup.
The stars of the catwalk at New York Fashion Week are typically gowns, gowns and more over-the-top gowns. But this year, we could not keep our eyes up from the floor. That's right -- this season's runway had us dreaming of the gorgeous, heart-stopping fashion pieces that you don't even have to look like a model to pull it off. We're talking shoes, of course. Our favorite shoe trends from fashion week this season spanned metallic heels, fur-flecked stilettos, sassy menswear-inspired flats and more. Here, 12 fashion week shoes that kept things stunning from the ankle down.
