From red lips and gold gowns to romantic updos and dark liner, these were the most jaw-dropping looks of the 2017 Oscars

Egyptian Vibes
Move over Cleopatra, there's a new queen in town. Jessica Biel looked flawless when she strutted onto the red carpet wearing a dazzling gold gown and a Tiffany & Co. spiked diamond bib necklace. To balance her sequin dress and bling, Biel kept her makeup minimal and applied thick winged liner, and tied her long brunette strands back into a voluptuous low-bun.

Pretty Orange Lip
Prepare the chariots, we've got another goddess up in here. Supermodel Karlie Kloss looked gorgeous in her white cape gown and diamond choker. As for her hair and makeup? She was total #goals. In true Victoria's Secret fashion, Kloss wore her hair in tumbling waves for that Old Hollywood look. As for another trend on the red carpet? Peach makeup. Kloss slayed with her minimal makeup and peach lip.

Pretty as a Peach
Between the shimmering peach shadow, perfect highlight and pretty pink lip, Scarlett Johansson was almost too much for us on the red carpet. Despite her edgy buzz-cut hair, Johansson's look was soft and feminine -- especially combined with her flowing floral gown. Her gorgeous green eyes pop, thanks to the highlight in the inner corners of her eyes and on her lid.

Old Hollywood Glam
Gold dresses, red lips and old Hollywood hair -- three major trends on the red carpet this year, and "La La Land" actress Emma Stone was rocking all three. Combined with her whimsical gown, Stone looked like a modern-day beauty meets the Roaring '20s, and it's safe to say her red lip stole the show. For those dying to steal her lip color, Stone wore Nars Audacious Lipstick, $34, in Mona.

Silky and Sleek
Christian Grey would've swooned had he seen Dakota Johnson on the red carpet. The "Fifty Shades of Grey" actress wore a Victorian-inspired gold gown, which she paired with soft makeup and a pinned back half-updo.

"We took great inspiration from the 1990s," says Dove celebrity stylist Mark Townsend. "Because her dress and especially the collar are so gorgeous and ornate, we wanted to keep the hair sleek, straight and minimal."

To get Johnson's look, Townsend applied Dove Curl Defining Mousse to her damp hair at the roots for volume, and sprayed Oribe Royal Blowout spray to her ends for added shine. After blow-drying hair straight, Townsend used GHD Styling Iron and smoothed out small sections of her hair until it was sleek and straight. Then he gathered the hair around her hairline and pulled it back into a half-back look, securing the hair into a knot with Scunci Bobby Pins. To lock in the look, Townsend spritzed on Dove Extra Hold Hairspray.

Simple, sweet and absolutely stunning.
