Milkmaid Chic
"Milkmaid braids are an easy way to get wet hair off your neck while looking super stylish," says Markham. To get the look, he says to divide your hair into a center part all the way down the back of your head so it forms two sections. Apply a smoothing cream to your hair, then do an inverted French braid on one side of your head. (Need help? Here's a tutorial.) Once you reach the end, secure it with an elastic and repeat on the other side.

Bring the end of one braid up so it touches the beginning of the opposite braid and use bobby pins to secure it in place. Do the same for the other side. Markham says to be sure to tuck in the ends to hide them. Finish with a weatherproofing spray.

Headbands Are Your New BFF
Try this rolled hairstyle -- it works on wet or dry hair. Potempa says to take a decorative headband (make sure it's one that goes all the way around your head), and then roll sections of your hair into the headband until all of your hair is up. It's a daytime appropriate updo that's funky, unique and sure to garner tons of compliments in the break room.

Let Loose
"Great fitness hair inspiration is Victoria Azarenka," says Farel. "Every US Open match, she puts a few braids in the front and pulls her hair into a half up, half down style. Then she braids the rest of the hair." He says if you wear this style while you work out, then you can simply undo the larger braid after to create a half-up, half-down style.

Bouncy Ponytail
To create a bouncy ponytail with minimal effort, Potempa says to work out in a topknot. Make sure your hair is damp before you go to the gym so the style will really set. After your workout, use a blow dryer to make sure your hair is completely dry. Then unwind the topknot -- hello, perfect ponytail. Add dry shampoo (we love Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo, $26) as needed.

Accent Braid
This style is especially great for shorter hair, though it works on any length. After prepping your hair with dry shampoo, Potempa recommends braiding a one-inch section of hair at the front of your head and pinning it back.
