9 Gluten-Free Makeup and Beauty Brands

Allergic to wheat? You may have to give up entire food groups, but you don't have to give up your beauty products

Gabriel Cosmetics
When it comes to Gabriel Cosmetics, they have some strict gluten-free standards. So strict in fact, that they've made their entire line gluten-free -- and you can rest assured they're held accountable by the best of the best. The brand is certified by the Gluten Intolerance Group, which according to their website, "thoroughly inspects the brand's quality, integrity and purity of the products" from warehouse to market. To make you swoon even more, the brand caters to the gluten-free needs of beauties everywhere in skin care, makeup and kids products.

Hero product: If you want a nice, natural glow (minus the cake face), then we suggest reaching for Gabriel Cosmetics Dual Powder Foundation. Due to its plant-based formula, the matte foundation doesn't cause breakouts or irritation to sensitive skin, and will leave your skin looking velvety smooth.

Lily LoLo
This gluten-free and all-natural makeup-only brand is all about keeping their products pure (no matter what your skin sensitivities). Not only are all of their products free of gluten, but they also exclude parabens, synthetic perfumes and dyes. Not to mention they don't test on Thumper -- which we love.

Hero product: For the gluten-free beauty junkies who are obsessed with Urban Decay's eye shadow palettes (we are too), we've got another palette that will give you a run for your money in terms of highly pigmented shadows, minus the wheat. Perfect for day or night, the Lily LoLo Laid Bare Eye Palette is everything you could want for a sweet or sultry look. The shadow is super pigmented, lasts all day and is diverse enough to create several looks. What more could you want?

Sophytopro
If there's one skin care brand who's transparent about their ingredients and where they come from, it's Sophytopro. The green beauty brand works to create plant-based formulas that are free of any toxins that could be harmful to consumers and the environment. The skin care brand is not only gluten-free, but their long list of certifications proves just how seriously they take the world of natural beauty. Other highlights include being: soy-free, GMO-free, food-grade quality, silicone-free, cruelty-free and doctor recommended.

Hero product: Turn back the hands of time with all-star product Sophytopro Pure Antioxidant Serum, $56.50. Its powerful anti-aging ingredients like green tea, grapes and active botanicals work to reduce redness and feed your skin with the nutrients it needs (minus the gluten), leaving even the most sensitive skin glowing.

Zuzu Luxe
Also certified by the Gluten Free Certification Organization, Zuzu Luxe's entire line of makeup is 100 percent gluten-free -- and the health-consciousness doesn't stop there. Besides meeting the needs of the gluten-sensitive gals, and with the exception of their makeup brushes (which are cruelty free), their cosmetics are also vegan, and contains no animal byproducts of any kind.

Hero product: Because bronzers are a staple item in our makeup bag, we have high standards for what encompasses a "quality bronzer." It must highlight, warm the skin and leave us with a flawless finish -- which is exactly what the Zuzu Luxe Mosaic Illuminator, $29.80, does. Plus, the product itself is pretty to look at every morning, so there's that.

Pai-Shau
The purer, the better, goes the thinking at Pai-Shau -- the luxurious hair care brand founded by Zohar Paz, former CEO of Moroccanoil. Apart from being completely free of gluten, parabens, sulfate and phosphate -- the company loves animals, and doesn't test or use them in any of their products.

Hero product: If there was ever a product to reach for from this line, we recommend the Pai-Shau Supreme Revitalizing Mask, $43. It resuscitates dried-out, mangled hair, and makes strands soft and shiny again.
