9 Gluten-Free Makeup and Beauty Brands

Allergic to wheat? You may have to give up entire food groups, but you don't have to give up your beauty products

Zuzu Luxe
Also certified by the Gluten Free Certification Organization, Zuzu Luxe's entire line of makeup is 100 percent gluten-free -- and the health-consciousness doesn't stop there. Besides meeting the needs of the gluten-sensitive gals, and with the exception of their makeup brushes (which are cruelty free), their cosmetics are also vegan, and contains no animal byproducts of any kind.

Hero product: Because bronzers are a staple item in our makeup bag, we have high standards for what encompasses a "quality bronzer." It must highlight, warm the skin and leave us with a flawless finish -- which is exactly what the Zuzu Luxe Mosaic Illuminator, $29.80, does. Plus, the product itself is pretty to look at every morning, so there's that.

Pai-Shau
The purer, the better, goes the thinking at Pai-Shau -- the luxurious hair care brand founded by Zohar Paz, former CEO of Moroccanoil. Apart from being completely free of gluten, parabens, sulfate and phosphate -- the company loves animals, and doesn't test or use them in any of their products.

Hero product: If there was ever a product to reach for from this line, we recommend the Pai-Shau Supreme Revitalizing Mask, $43. It resuscitates dried-out, mangled hair, and makes strands soft and shiny again.

Red Apple Lipstick
This gluten-free makeup brand prides itself on producing gluten- and paraben-free products, only. If you suffer from celiac disease, and have major gluten sensitivities, rest assured this made in the U.S.A. brand is allergen- and wheat-free, and avoids just about any other would-be toxin your pretty little head can think of (like: soy, lead, GMOs, dairy, mercury, corn and petroleum). Another bonus: they don't test on animals.

Hero product: The product was so good, they named their entire brand after it. If you're a gluten-free gal on the market for some new lipstick, then you definitely want to pick up the ultra creamy Red Apple Lipstick Gluten Free, Paraben Free Lipstick, $23.50. The pigmented product goes on bold, and as it wears, it stains your lips for a nice tinted lip look.

Éclair Naturals
Though everyone will swoon over Éclair Naturals' gorgeous packaging, gluten-free gals will be happy to learn this bath, body and hair brand is 100 percent gluten-free (along with just about every other certification). If you have celiac disease and extreme sensitivities, Éclair ensures the safety of its products by sending samples of their products to the Celiac Support Association (one of the largest non-profit celiac support groups in the U.S.) for testing. First becoming certified, before releasing any products to the public.

Hero product: Scrub away impurities and give your skin the pampering it deserves with the Éclair Naturals Dead Sea Salt Scrub, $12.99, in French Lavendar. Made with mineral-rich Dead Sea salt, jojoba oil and sweet almond oil, this scrub guarantees baby smooth (and happy) skin after a good scrub down.
