Did you know that aloe vera can also help with hair growth? As such, it makes for a great DIY lash and brow serum. Combine equal parts of castor oil and aloe vera gel. You can apply it to your lashes and brows directly with a Q-Tip, brush or spoolie.
Prevent razor bumps and enjoy seriously silky-smooth skin by making your own shaving gel. Mix three parts aloe vera gel and one part olive oil together and apply directly to skin — then just get shaving!
Remove deep-seated dirt and dead cells from your skin by exfoliating with a DIY aloe vera scrub. Mix a half cup of aloe vera gel and quarter cup of brown sugar granules. (You can also add some coconut oil for a more moisturizing mixture.) Gently massage into skin for five minutes, then wash it off — and enjoy your newly glowy complexion.
Aloe vera also does a good job of fighting dandruff. You can directly apply aloe vera gel to the roots of your hair at night then rinse it off the next morning. Tip: Make sure your hair is wet before the application.
Combine aloe vera gel, honey, olive oil, and an egg yolk in a bowl. Mix it until the concoction gets a smooth paste texture. Apply the mask on your scalp and hair and leave it on for 30 minutes. Rinse it off, then follow with your regular usual shampoo and conditioner.
