Filter Blur is part of a greater lineup of "fragrance primers" formulated by Maison Margiela, a brand renowned for its inventive, compliment inducing EDPs. The primers are meant to be paired with other fragrances (either from the brand or otherwise) to improve longevity and enhance scent. But... who has to follow the rules? Many are wearing Maison Margiela's filters as standalone scents. Blur gives off a "lived-in sheets, soft skin" scent, and it's our fave of the lineup. If you want something brighter, then try Glow, which features a sunny citrus and neroli scent.
Though it's one of the oldest fragrances out there, Guerlain's Après l'Ondée remains one of the most exquisite, elegant EDPs you can spritz. It's a masterful blend — created by Jacques Guerlain himself — of violet and sweet orange blossom atop a bed of soft powder. The scent is incredibly delicate and light, making it the perfect option for those who don't want to feel weighed down by their perfume.
Gypsy Water offers an iconic blend of creamy sandalwood, light powder, zesty lemon, sharp juniper berries, and something sweet. It's a "can't quite put your finger on it" kind of EDP that was inspired by the Romani, or "Gypsy," lifestyle. Think standing by the edge-of-the-forest, bare feet dug into fresh soil, and wafting incense making its way through damp, sweet air.
