The Blonds runway show at NYFW was inspired by Tweety Bird, and we couldn't resist that challenge. I mean, just look at the hair (we have no idea how our intern/model Frances is going to get that out later). Throw in some bright makeup in the notoriously difficult cat eye shape, and there was only one thing left to say: Bring it on.
Not surprisingly, the orb-like bun proved to be the biggest challenge, and our resident hair expert and assistant editor, Tiffanie, got pretty crafty to recreate it. We always knew she was the guru of hair, but the way she created this crazy, bulbous bun pretty much blew our minds.

The runway inspiration clearly had a leg up on us with the hair -- an extension hairpiece was tied onto the top of her head. Genius or a cop-out, we took it upon ourselves to create a look that's similarly high-fashion, but much more wearable (and impressive). After rummaging around the office for potential round objects to use as a base, Tiffanie's eye landed on a recently opened box filled with bubble wrap. Most of us look at bubble wrap like an 8-year-old boy would and fantasize about rolling our desk chairs over it. Tiffanie, however, turned a 2-x-1-foot section of the bubble wrap into a giant sock bun. (Seriously, if there were a MacArthur Foundation genius award for hairstyling, Tiffanie would be a shoo-in.) Here's how she worked it into the uber-bun:
1. On dry, detangled hair, mist a frizz-taming spray like Frizz-Ease Daily Nourishment Leave-In Fortifying Spray, $6.59, all over the front and sides of your hair.
2. Next, gather your hair into a high ponytail at the top of your crown. Use a soft bristle brush to slick your hair down as you go. Secure the ponytail with an elastic.
3. Apply a styling pomade, like Ouidad Clear Control Pomade, $27, onto the top and sides of your hair to smooth. Use the soft brush to tame flyaways and distribute the product evenly.

4. After rolling and folding the bubble wrap into a donut shape (Tiffanie used tape to hold it together), pull your ponytail ends through the center, allowing the bubble wrap to sit at the base of your elastic. Think: sock bun.
5. Allow your ponytail ends to fall over the bubble wrap entirely, making sure that none of the wrap is showing through your hair. Then, use an elastic to secure this loose hair so that it is gathered around the base of the bun.
6. Tuck any remaining strands of hair using bobby pins and brush or comb hair into place over any spots where the bubble wrap shows. Finish with a strong-hold hairspray like Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray, $18.

Since this makeup look is all about the eyes, the rest of the routine can be kept pretty basic. Light foundation and blush allow the eyes to really pop -- not that the colors exactly need the help.
Step 1: Conceal any imperfections with a light wash of foundation -- we tried out IT Cosmetics IT-O2 Ultra Repair Liquid Oxygen Foundation, $38 -- applied with a sponge for a sheer look. We've recently fallen in love with EcoTools Foam Applicator, $5.99. Cover under-eye circles with a brightening concealer.
