"And Environ Hydrating Clay Masque, a luxurious, creamy clay masque which assists in absorbing excess surface oils and gently polishes the skin's surface."
"I have definitely been dealing with the dreaded maskne since the pandemic started and it's been mostly happening around my chin and mouth areas," says makeup artist Renée Loiz. "A couple times a week, I do a triple cleanse. I start out by washing my face with the Shani Darden Cleansing Serum, a soft, lathered and hydrating cleanser."
"Without rinsing the cleanser off, I add gentle exfoliator Buff Her Milk & Honey Organic Exfoliating Facial Scrub on top, then use Buttah Vibe Brush, $39, to mix the two products together while deep cleansing my skin for about two minutes."
"Without rinsing again, I then add True Botanicals Pacific Glacial Clay Detoxifying Mask on top of the cleanser and exfoliator and let all three products marinate on my skin for another three minutes," explains Loiz. "Now we can rinse! You will see a big difference in your skin's texture immediately from this triple cleanse, but we're not quite done yet!"
"To calm and soothe the skin, spray generously with Tower 28 Beauty SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray," says Loiz. "Lastly, to help fade any dark spots I've received from maskne, I apply Ode to Self De Palma Hydrating and Clarifying Facial Oil and gently press into my skin. I don't like to rub my skin too much because it aggravates the maskne so pressing the oil in is much more gentle and effective. After doing this skin care routine a couple times a week, maskne does not stand a chance! Thank me later!"
