What's the best part of your day?
Hot yoga. It centers me, energizes me and does wonders for my skin. Because I work in beauty, I like to think it qualifies as "research."

What has been the highlight of your career?
Collaborating with Oneloveorganics.com on a skin-care collection. We just earned ECOCERT-certification and were picked up by Anthropologie.com so my dreams have come true.

What are some common misconceptions people have about your job or working in beauty?
That it is non-stop glamour. Also: that we are all supermodels or makeup artists. I'm a journalist by trade, so for me it's about the reader. That means hard work and more time than I care to admit to keep content new and fresh.
