"In Myanmar I met the most serene and generous people. Maybe it comes from Buddhism, or maybe it's the peace that everyone enjoys now after many long years of dictatorship and violent conflict. I tried to bring out this gentle atmosphere, photographing Yu Kyi in one of the most important Buddhist temples in the world."

"With The Atlas of Beauty I want to cover totally different places in the world. [In the fall] I was photographing in tropical Cuba. [A few months later] I was exploring the villages of northern Romania, where temperatures were about 35 degrees cooler. This is Claudia."
