"With The Atlas of Beauty I want to cover totally different places in the world. [In the fall] I was photographing in tropical Cuba. [A few months later] I was exploring the villages of northern Romania, where temperatures were about 35 degrees cooler. This is Claudia."

"There are two ways in which I take photos for 'The Atlas of Beauty.' Sometimes I find an interesting face and we plan a short photo shoot in a place that is relevant to the community and the person. Other times, I simply stop them in the street, I ask them about what they do, and I take one or two photos on the spot."
