After more than a decade and a half of report cards and homework, I still get that back-to-school feeling once September rolls around. Only, my version of "back-to" shopping is now more briefcases and reloading Starbucks cards than backpacks and binder paper. I'll miss the pep rallies and Friday football games for a few minutes, but I definitely don't miss the awkward pre-pubescent emotional rollercoster, braces, bad haircuts or the perpetual breakouts high school memories are made of.

So yes, that prom picture may still send shivers down your spine, but take solace in knowing that even today's red carpet beauty queens have had their moments -- we're all only human, after all. To celebrate September and the fact that we never, ever have to take another yearbook photo again, we're taking a good-natured, nostalgic look at some quality celebrity yearbook photos, because there's nothing like looking at some non-Photoshopped, hairstylist/makeup artist-free, harshly lit yearbook photos to bring them back down to earth and remind us how far we've all come.
