It's time for a trip to the crafts store to pick up rhinestones because crystals featured at a surprising number of runway shows — and we don't mean on the clothes. At Prada, Pat McGrath topped electric graphic eyeshadow with Swarovski crystals. Hairstylist Guido Palau contrasted the glam eyes with just-out-of-the-shower wet-look hair.

We've heard of matching lips and tips, but matching mascara with hair feathers? The bold look was courtesy of Dries Van Noten where hairstylist Sam McKnight dyed ostrich feathers in vivid jewel tones and placed them along parts and hairlines. The unexpected hair accent was complemented by a liberal coating of colored mascara, including this shocking yellow version.
