Honestly, can you think of a better invention than online shopping? It makes everything so easy — a single click of a button is all you need to get your favorite goods delivered straight to your door. Makeup is no exception: with limited releases and exclusive products, it's just so much easier to engage in a little e-commerce than it is to line up in a physical store.
If you're an avid online shopper, you've most likely memorized every single product that Sephora and Ulta have in stock — but your search for the best makeup shouldn't stop at these two shops (no matter how awesome they may be). We've compiled a little list of a few more of our favorite beauty stores online, so you'll really have all the bases covered.
Beautylish started as an online beauty community back in 2010 and after great success, the site expanded to include an online boutique in 2012. Its mission is to carry reputable brands while staying true to its roots of helping people with their beauty needs. Some notable brands the store carries include Anastasia Beverly Hills, The Ordinary, Charlotte Tilbury and Wayne Goss (we're especially loving the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette, $53).
Founded in 2012 by Charlotte Cho and her husband Dave, Soko Glam has become one of the leading online stores when it comes to K-beauty. The site was among the first to introduce the 10-step Korean skin care routine stateside and has had a huge hand in kicking off the current K-beauty boom. Cho carefully curates the products and it's quite the e-destination, offering popular Korean brands like Etude House, Peripera, Tony Moly, Skinfood, Banila Co and more. Not sure where to start? You can't go wrong with the lightweight, long-wearing Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint, $5.
Chances are, there's a Target store near you — but if you're too lazy or too busy to stop by, the makeup section online is well worth a visit. With a wide selection of makeup for lips, eyes, face and even items to stash your makeup in, your shopping will be done in no time. Plus, in addition to the standard budget-friendly drugstore brands (you can never go wrong with staples like Revlon ColorStay Makeup, $7.29), Target has recently started to carry a few indie brands as well as several Korean skin care faves.
Muse Beauty is an online store that caters to professionals. Although it carries fewer brands than the usual makeup store, it's curated by makeup artist founders who have tons of experience using the products themselves. This means the site is home to some harder-to-find, pro-approved lines such as Japonesque and Viseart Cosmetics. (Don't miss the Viseart Petit Pro I Palette, $30.)
