Interesting fact: The secret behind the wet-look ponytails at Chanel was a vacuum. Hairstylist Sam McKnight used the unexpected tool to slide Perspex tubes over low ponytails. For a less intimidating application, twist the pony tightly and slide an acrylic tube (found at hardware stores) over it. Too much fuss? Try a hair cone, like the Urban Outfitters Camille Cone Hair Tie, $5, and consider topping the look with a see-through hat.
