Chock it up to Instagram: We're all striving for a more "filtered" makeup look. And that's where blur creams come in -- they hide lines, pores and pigmentation in a matter of seconds.

The consistency of the cream is thinner so it glides easily over the thin skin around the eyes, and it's loaded with light-reflecting particles -- it even has a hint of gold sheen when it catches the light. And when you wear it underneath concealer, the glimmer shines through to make your eyes appear brighter and more open.

Indeed Labs Nanoblur, $19.99, has an incredibly light texture for a blur cream. And that's because it's designed to be applied over makeup. Instead of grabbing your powder compact next time your face looks smudgy, dull or shiny, gently rub some Nanoblur between your fingertips and pat it on. It's completely colorless, and it has slightly powdery feel -- plus, the mattifying effects last for hours.

With an extremely gentle form of retinol (retinyl palmitate), antioxidants and LHA to exfoliate, Lancôme Visionnaire 1 Minute Blur Smoothing Skincare Instant Perfector, $55, would be an awesome skin care product even if it didn't blur pores and wrinkles. Fortunately, it fights lines and hides them at the same time. Swap out your regular daytime serum and try this on top of your moisturizer. You'll be amazed by how flawless your skin looks -- even if you skip foundation.

Peter Thomas Roth BB Blur Cream, $48, is blur-BB hybrid that will save you a step. It combines the line-smoothing magic of a blur cream with the skin-evening tint of a BB cream. It's also packed with skin care ingredients: peptides help plump wrinkles over time, antioxidants protect your skin from the environment and apple fruit extract calms redness.
