The World Health Organization (WHO) says adults should be doing at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity throughout the week and a great way to do that is by just walking, going for a jog, or getting friends together for a hike.
Need a little extra incentive? Try downloading a pedometer app on your phone and set goals for the number of steps you want to achieve each day and gradually increase them as you feel yourself becoming fitter.

Speaking of apps, there are a lot of free options like Gixo, which has live workouts every day of varying lengths, or Studio Tone It Up which is a community of women that will guide you to getting fit with various forms of exercise.

If there's a community basketball court, tennis court or swimming pool that is nearby and accessible to you for free, use it! Find friends to join you, or create a group of people you may know from the area and get social while you get fit.

Exercise equipment can be expensive, but you don't necessarily have to go out and buy a fancy new set of weights or a pricey yoga block. Instead, borrow your kids' jump rope, use old soda bottles and fill them with sand and use them as weights, or use a chair to do push ups — the world is your oyster.
