If we had a dollar for every time a beauty product promised us "glowing skin," we'd probably take the money and just get a damn facial. But Dr. Jart+ Air Mesh, $48, won over our jaded hearts with its serum-like feel and, yes, glowing finish. The compact includes a face puff, which is great for building coverage. But we think this BB looks best applied with fingers to sheer, dewy perfection -- plus, poking the bouncy, air-filled cushion is just too fun. Marine extracts moisturize, reduce redness and detoxify skin over the long term.

Most cushion foundations come in a very edited range of shades. That's why we're so into Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation, $47, which comes in 18 beautiful shades, so you're practically guaranteed to find a color match. Like Dr. Jart's product, it has a mesh cushion that offers quick delivery of the full-coverage, matte-finish cream. Lancome's BB is surprisingly light on skin-care benefits, but the oil-free, SPF 50 formula may be just what the doctor ordered for those with acne-prone skin.

Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion Intense, $80, is intense on benefits as well as on pigmentation. Red pine extract fights fine lines and skin laxity, and antioxidant plum blossom fights free radicals in the environment. The formula comes in seven shades, and boasts broad-spectrum SPF 50+. While the price tag may seem like a shock, this cushion foundation is a surprisingly great value. A little goes a really, really long way, and each compact comes with a refill -- so convenient, especially since most cushion compacts don't hold a lot of product.

Erborian Liquid BB Creme Au Ginseng Cushion Compact, $48, comes in just two shades, so if you don't have light-medium or medium skin tone, look elsewhere. But even if this cushion foundation isn't a perfect match, a light application will brighten and smooth your skin with satin coverage, ginseng and licorice root extract, known to fight dark spots.
