Non-toxic furniture is a priority for her family. She calls the $2500 price of a readymade eco-couch "cuckoo," and instead commissioned a local carpenter in Glendale to create her gray velvet non-toxic couch.
"I like the story behind something, the fact that it's had a life," says Jessica, when referring to her Craigslist and antique finds. Fun fact: Her refurbished carved wood armchair originally belonged to F. Scott Fitzgerald.
